More About Me
My name is Anibelle Groom,
I moved to Missouri in 2021 to pursue my college education and graduated in 2024. Shortly after completing my degree, I began building Sown Growth Baby as a way to formally offer placenta encapsulation and keepsake services to families in Southwest Missouri.

Before moving to Missouri, I lived in Oklahoma where my mother had began her over 20 year service as a midwife. Growing up around birth work shaped my understanding of pregnancy, postpartum care, and the sacred responsibility of motherhood.
During that time, I learned firsthand how my mother carefully processed placentas for her clients. What began as observation eventually became hands-on experience, as I assisted and later processed placentas solo under her practice.

Today, my mother continues her midwifery work — now also serving families in Southwest Missouri — and her example remains a steady source of inspiration. The patience, intention, and reverence she brings to her work has deeply influenced the heart behind Sown Growth Baby.

This business is built on respect for the birth experience, commitment to safe preparation practices, and a sincere desire to serve mothers well during one of life’s most transformative seasons.
In addition to placenta encapsulation, I offer birthweight bears and other keepsakes because crafting has long been a passion of mine.
From a young age, I have loved to sew and explore artistic expression, and I have carefully developed that skill, allowing me to create beautiful, personalized pieces that honor each birth story in a tangible, long-lasting way. Designing birthweight bears allows me to combine that lifelong passion with my work in maternal care.

Each bear is thoughtfully made to reflect your baby’s unique details capturing the feeling you had when you held them for the first time. It is a joy to use the gifts I have been given to create keepsakes that bring long-lasting comfort and celebration to mothers and their families.
